Intra-oral radiography

Intra-oral radiography

Radiography is an X-ray transmission imaging technique.

On an X-ray, the bones appear white and the soft tissues in grey tones.

There are 2 types of intra-oral radiographs:

Intra-oral radiography

retro-coronal or BW (bite-wing): It allows to visualize the interdental caries and to appreciate the bone state close to the crowns

Intra-oral radiography

Retroalveolar or apical: It allows in particular the visualisation of bone lesions (foci or cysts)
